Ilmurat Kerim

Ilmurat Kerim has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2009, they worked as a System Engineer at CitiServ LLP until 2011 before founding and working as a DevOps at CB Gorsvet from 2011 to 2012. From 2012 to 2013, Ilmurat served as a TelCo Engineer at Тоо "RTC", where they provided technical support for GPON equipment and managed the implementation of passive fiber-optic communication networks in Kazakhstan.

In 2013, Ilmurat joined the Design Bureau of Industrial Communications as a TelCo Engineer, where they were responsible for managing projects related to equipment qualification, purchase, and integration. Ilmurat also led the development of MPEG2-TS analyzing software/hardware and managed ARM-based hardware/software development projects for the digitalization of video broadcasting in Kazakhstan.

Moving forward, Ilmurat worked as a Global Business Development Manager at the Design Bureau of Industrial Communications from 2016 to 2018. Ilmurat was involved in customer communication, managed quotes and negotiations with vendors, and oversaw the production of equipment in collaboration with foreign companies.

In 2018, Ilmurat joined Alem Research as a Product Manager and later became a Group Product Manager. In these roles, they managed several products, worked with cross-functional teams, and collaborated with numerous business and government clients. Ilmurat also handled scrum-based management for AI-powered B2B solutions.

In 2019, Ilmurat held the position of Product Manager at digitalagent.kz, where they developed Go-to-market plans for the platform. Later that year, they joined Petrel AI / HIPO Kazakhstan as a Business Development Manager, focusing on business consultation, development, customer relations, and project management.

Most recently, Ilmurat joined POWR in 2020, initially as a Technical Product Manager and later transitioning to the role of DevOps Manager in 2022.

Ilmurat Kerim obtained a Bachelor's degree in 5B0719 from Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In 2018, they participated in the International Startups and Creative Industry Programme at Henley Business School. From 2019 to 2021, Ilmurat pursued a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at Satbayev University. Additionally, they have earned several certifications, including "Applied Machine Learning in Python," "Applied Plotting, Charting & Data Representation in Python," "Introduction to Data Science in Python," and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from various institutions such as Coursera and the University of Michigan. Ilmurat also obtained "English Select - Advanced" and "English Select - Upper intermediate" certifications from the British Council, along with "Learning Data Science: Using Agile Methodology" and "Managing International Projects" certifications from LinkedIn.
