Amit Hickman

Amit Hickman is an experienced educator and administrator specializing in early childhood education. Currently serving as the Early Childhood Education Director at Pozez JCC of Northern Virginia since August 2019, Amit implements a Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy while providing support to curriculum coordinators and administrative staff. Previous roles include Social Work Intern at JSSA from August 2022 to May 2024 and Early Childhood Learning Center Director at JCCNV from August 2011 to August 2019, where responsibilities included supervising educational staff, managing the budget process, and interfacing with children and families. Amit holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from George Mason University, expected in June 2024, and earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Applied Developmental Psychology from George Mason University and the University of Pittsburgh, respectively.
