Andy Whittaker

Andy Whittaker has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Andy is currently serving as the Director (General Manager) at PP Control & Automation since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the same company as the Engineering & Quality Director from 2021 to 2023, and as the Engineering Manager from 2020 to 2021.

Before joining PP Control & Automation, Andy held various roles at Mec Com Fabrications. From 2012 to 2020, they served as the Engineering and Quality Director, overseeing engineering and quality strategies across two sites in the UK and Romania. Andy also managed operations as part of the senior leadership team and played a crucial role in business development activities. Prior to this, they held the position of Quality and Technical Support Director from 2011 to 2012, Quality and Technical Support Manager from 2009 to 2011, and Head of Quality from 2008 to 2009. Andy started their journey at Mec Com Fabrications as a Project Manager from 2006 to 2008.

Andy Whittaker's career began in 1994 at GEC Measurements as an Apprentice, where they gained valuable experience. Andy then worked at GEC Alstom as a Production Engineer from 1994 to 1996, and as a Mechanical Design Engineer from 1996 to 1998. Later, they joined Alstom Grid as a Production/Project Engineer from 1998 to 2000. Andy also served as the General Manager at West Hyde Enclosures from 2004 to 2006.

Andy Whittaker attended GEC Measurements Stafford from 1989 to 1994, where they completed a Craft Apprenticeship. Andy then studied at Stafford College from 1993 to 1994, earning an NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Andy also pursued education at Stafford College, achieving an ONC in Engineering (Mechanical and Manufacturing) by 1995. Andy later attended Staffordshire University, completing the NEBS Certificate in Management in 2004-2005. Furthermore, Andy obtained an HNC in Engineering (Mechanical and Manufacturing) from Staffordshire University, although the exact dates are unspecified.
