A K M Ahsan Ahmed, PhD, is a Senior Scientist at PPD, the clinical research division of Thermo Fisher Scientific, since May 2021. Prior to this role, A K M Ahsan Ahmed served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Student Researcher at South Dakota State University from August 2014 to May 2021, where responsibilities included teaching undergraduate chemistry laboratory courses and developing a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analytical method for hydrocarbon analysis in kerosene. A K M Ahsan Ahmed earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry (Analytical) from South Dakota State University between 2014 and 2021, and holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Dhaka.
