Arthur P. Beattie

Mr. Beattie retired from The Southern Company, having served as executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief risk officer from 2010 to 2018. The Southern Company is an American gas and electric utility holding company based in the southern United States. Prior to this role at Southern, Mr. Beattie served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Alabama Power Company, a utility subsidiary of Southern, from 2005 to 2010. Prior to 2005, he served in various executive, officer and management positions for nearly three decades at Alabama Power Company, including as a vice president, comptroller and treasurer. Mr. Beattie serves as an independent director of Southwest Water Company.
