Govind Srinivasan

Govind Srinivasan has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and technology. Govind is currently working as the Director of Data Engineering at PPL Corporation since 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Manager of Data Engineering at Discover Financial Services from 2018 to 2021.

Before joining Discover Financial Services, Govind worked at Nielsen from 2012 to 2018, where they held various roles such as Manager of Technology in the Data Exchange Platform, Principal Architect of the Connected Buy Platform, and Principal Architect of the Global Buy Platform. During their time at Nielsen, they were responsible for delivering and managing large-scale projects, implementing agile methodologies, and working with technologies like Databricks, Airflow, Azure Cloud, Snowflake, Cloudera Distribution Hadoop, and Java rest service.

Prior to Nielsen, Govind worked at Constellation Brands Inc from 2006 to 2012, where they served as a SOA Architect in Information Management and an Applications Engineer. Their work at Constellation Brands Inc involved technology transformation, planning, business process re-engineering, and project management.

Before that, Govind worked at CompSys Technologies Inc as a Senior Software Engineer from 2005 to 2006. Govind provided technical solutions to clients in various domains and worked on technologies like Java/J2EE, JBoss Application Server, Web-sphere application and commerce server, Spring Framework, Struts Framework, AJAX, and Java Script.

Govind's early work experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineer at Larsen & Toubro Infotech from 2000 to 2003 and as a Software Engineer at Aski Computers Ltd from 1999 to 2000.

Govind Srinivasan earned a Bachelor of Engg in Computer Science from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy in the years 1995-1999. Govind then pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science from The City University of New York from 2003-2005. In 2020-2021, they completed their Master of Business Administration - MBA with a specialization in Executive MBA (Cohort) from Northern Illinois University. Additionally, Govind obtained two certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in 2019 and Sun Certified Java Programmer from Sun Microsystems in 2000.
