Amy Shanler

Amy Shanler is an accomplished academic and public relations professional with extensive experience in higher education and corporate communications. Currently serving as a Professor of the Practice in Public Relations and Associate Department Chair at Boston University College of Communication, Amy specializes in teaching media relations, public relations, and crisis management. Additionally, Amy has held various leadership roles, including Director of PRLab, overseeing an award-winning student-run agency. Past experiences include serving as Director of Public and Media Relations for Royal Philips in North America and holding director-level positions at Staples, Inc. and senior roles in other public relations firms. Amy is also actively involved in the PR Club, contributing as a board member and past president. Amy holds a Master of Science in Corporate Communications and has been actively engaged in the public relations field since the late 1990s.
