Sjors Mahler has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sjors started their career as an Interviewer for the CrimeNL dataproject at Radboud University Nijmegen in 2012. Sjors then worked as a Research Trainee at Gemeente Nijmegen, where they conducted research on neighborhood facilities for six months. In 2015, they joined Usabilla as a Growth Hacker/Technical Marketer for a short period. Sjors also founded Bureau Cogito in 2015, where they served as a Founder until 2017.

In 2016, Sjors Mahler began working at pr.co and held multiple roles within the company. Sjors started as a Growth Marketer/Business Development member until 2018. During this time, they focused on providing communication teams worldwide with the necessary tools for their PR and communication needs. Sjors then worked as a Sales & Growth Lead from 2018 to 2020.

In this role, they helped build websites and software to assist customers in becoming brands that journalists enjoy collaborating with. Sjors Mahler has a diverse educational background. Starting in 2003, they attended Overbetuwe College Bemmel, where they obtained a VWO Tweetalig Diploma (IB English) in 2009. Following this, Sjors pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sociology at Radboud University from 2009 to 2013.

Continuing their education, Sjors then pursued a Master's degree at the University of Amsterdam from 2013 to 2014, specializing in Persuasive Communication. During the same year, they also attended the Buyerminds Academy, where they studied Persuasion Design.

In 2015, Sjors furthered their knowledge by completing a program in Growth Hacking at Growth Tribe.

In terms of additional certifications, Sjors completed a course in Account Based Marketing at CXL in September 2022.
