Alex Deines, CMP, DMCP has a diverse work experience in the field of event planning and marketing. They started their career as a Promotions Intern at the Downtown Association of San Luis Obispo in 2012. They then worked as a Marketing/Events Intern and Promotions Representative at Collective Effort Events in 2013, where they were responsible for advertising concerts and organizing events. In 2014, they served as a Marketing and Promotions Intern at Till Dawn Group. They joined PRA Business Events in 2014 and held various roles such as Operations Coordinator and Experience Designer. In 2020, they worked as a Marketing Assistant at IPS-Integrated Project Services, LLC, supporting business development activities and coordinating marketing efforts. Currently, they are working at PRA Business Events as a Sr. Experience Designer and Associate Director of Experience Design.
Alex Deines, CMP, DMCP graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 2014. Their field of study was Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration with a concentration in Events Management. In addition to their degree, Alex has obtained the Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification from the Events Industry Council in November 2018 and the DMCP certification from the Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI) in February 2019.
