Jennifer S. Cortez

Jennifer S. Cortez has a diverse work experience in various roles related to video production, motion graphics design, and teaching. Jennifer is currently working as a Video Production Specialist at Practicing Excellence since 2023. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2022, they worked at Tiatros Inc. as a Media Content Creator, where they created 2D motion graphics, storyboarded animations, and created illustrations for UX/UI design. From 2014 to 2020, they worked as a Freelance Motion Graphics Designer/Video Editor, organizing footage, creating full motion graphics, and applying motion graphics to video productions for various companies. Jennifer also has experience as a Lead Manager & Artist at Six Flags from 2012 to 2017, overseeing employees, providing customer service, and balancing transactions. Additionally, they worked at BAYCAT in 2014 as a Filmmaking Teaching Assistant, Graphic Arts Teaching Assistant, BAYCAT Studio Crew Member, and Post Production Intern, assisting instructors, troubleshooting issues, and completing student work. Finally, they worked at 4C THE POWER from 2009 to 2014 as a Creative Content Producer and Blog Writer, where they designed posters, edited video projects, and operated cameras for press interviews and field production.

Jennifer subsequently enrolled in San Francisco State University from 2011 to 2014 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts.
