Shiyuan Yao has worked at various companies since 2009. Shiyuan started as a Junior Software Engineer at Convergys in 2009, then moved to The University of New South Wales as a Research Assistant in 2012. In 2014, they worked as a Web UI and Java Developer at The Odds Broker, where they built the UI from scratch, designed and developed RESTfult APIs, service interfaces and implementations, and monitored and troubleshot application servers deployed on AWS. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Click to Cloud as a Software Engineer where they designed and built an electronic direct marketing system using Java Spring framework and Amazon Web Services, and implemented Salesforce Apex classes and triggers. Shiyuan is currently working at Practifi as a Lead Software Development Engineer since 2021.
Shiyuan Yao obtained a Master of Information Technology from The University of New South Wales in 2011, with a focus on Web Services and Database systems. In 2017, they earned three certifications from Salesforce: Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Certified Administrator, and Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.
