David M. Smith

David Smith serves as Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Marketing and Communications at the Practising Law Institute since August 2017. Previously, David held the position of Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director at the Society of Cosmetic Chemists from November 2013 to August 2017. Earlier career experiences include roles as Director of Business Development and Director of Membership & Marketing at The New York Academy of Sciences from June 2007 to October 2013, as well as Director of Marketing at PLI from 1993 to 2007. David Smith earned a degree from Bennington College between 1988 and 1992.
