Adnan Jakati

Adnan Jakati is an Offensive Security Engineer at Praetorian since August 2025, previously serving as a Security Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at New York University from September 2023 to May 2025. At NYU, Adnan made significant contributions by patching Dropbear SSH for enhanced remote access on embedded routers and deploying a honeypot to collect attacker telemetry. Prior experience includes a role as a Security Engineer at Sony India Software Centre, where Adnan developed a honeypot-driven Threat Detection & Response system, and an internship at Alorb Technologies, enhancing Identity Access Management systems using Machine Learning. Additional experience includes a research internship at Samsung R&D Institute India, where Adnan engineered facial keypoint pipelines and optimized machine learning models. Adnan holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication from KLE Technological University.
