Anushka Virgaonkar started their work experience in 2019 as a Software Engineer Intern at Persistent Systems. During their time there, they worked on End-to-End Lung Cancer Screening with Chest Computed Tomography Scans using Convolutional Neural Networks and created a unified interface for radiologists and researchers to analyze CT scans. Anushka also implemented Explainable AI (XAI) to simplify the analysis process.
In 2019, Anushka also worked as a Security Engineering Intern at Quick Heal, where they developed a secure central authentication service (CAS) and designed SDKs for Python and Golang to integrate the CAS with web applications. Anushka utilized various open-source programs and frameworks to build a Proof of Concept (PoC) for the project.
In 2020, Anushka transitioned to the role of Security Engineer at BosLeo. Here, they worked on the development of Anti-Virus, Anti-Phishing, Software Sandboxing, Application Firewall, and other components as part of the company's Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP). Anushka also contributed to the design, development, and deployment of a network-based intrusion detection system (NIDS) with an intrusion analytics and insights system.
Anushka's work experience continued in 2022 as a Reverse Engineering and Malware Analysis Intern at Mandiant.
Currently, in 2023, Anushka is working as a Security Engineer at Praetorian.
Anushka Virgaonkar completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Pune Institute of Computer Technology from 2016 to 2020. Anushka then pursued a Masters in Cybersecurity from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2021 to 2022. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Anushka attended Delhi Public School in Pune from 2008 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications related to cybersecurity. These include "Cyber Attack Countermeasures," "Enterprise and Infrastructure Security," "Introduction to Cyber Attacks," "Introduction to Cyber Security Specialization," and "Real-Time Cyber Threat Detection and Mitigation" from Coursera. Anushka also completed "The Complete Ethical Hacking Course" from Udemy, but the specific dates of completion are not provided.
