Bryant A. Whitsitt

Bryant Whitsitt is a Partner in the Tax Department of Prager Metis, a member of Prager Metis International. Bryant also serves as the Office Managing Partner – Charlotte, NC office and has been in the accounting profession since 1996.

Bryant has gained expertise throughout his career helping closely-held businesses and their owners plan, execute, and sustain long-term success. Bryant serves as tax consultant and business advisor for small and medium-sized businesses, high net-worth individuals, trusts and estates. He works alongside business owners and financial professionals answering questions regarding business formation, entity structuring, financial management best practices. Bryant is especially knowledgeable in taxation issues related to commercial and residential real estate transactions. He also possesses a deep understanding of compliance issues related to tax-exempt organizations such as private foundations and operating nonprofits. Bryant assists both civic and faith-based organizations with government filings and operational strategies to maximize their use of limited resources.

Bryant has been a licensed CPA in North Carolina since 1996 and maintains active memberships in the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the NC Association of CPAs (NCACPA). He brings a wealth of experience to the firm, including career stops at local and “Big Four” accounting offices in Charlotte.

Bryant has participated in numerous nonprofit boards in the Greater Charlotte area, holding positions such as Treasurer and Finance Committee Member. He currently lives in Waxhaw, NC with his wife and two children.

Prior to joining Prager Metis, Bryant was a Partner at Blair, Bohlé & Whitsitt PLLC, which combined with Prager Metis in January 2021.
