Peter McCaffrey

Dr. Peter McCaffrey is a Co-founder and the Chief Technical Officer at VastBiome. Peter is also a former Biodesign Fellow at Texas Medical Center Innovation Institute, where they worked from July 2017 to July 2018. Prior to that, they were a resident in Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital from June 2014 to July 2017. Peter was also the CEO and founder of Accetia from April 2012 to May 2014. Dr. McCaffrey's focus is on delivering customizable next-generation sequencing analysis to small laboratories and research units. Peter has also worked as a Research Fellow in Genomics and Computational Biology at the Africa Health Research Institute from September 2011 to August 2012, and as a Clinical Research Intern at Children's Medical Center from May 2007 to December 2009.
