John Sexsmith

John Sexsmith has extensive work experience in the casino and resort industry. John most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Prairie Band Casino & Resort starting in August 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the CFO at Silverton Casino from November 2018 to March 2020. From October 2013 to October 2018, they held the position of Vice President of Finance at FireKeepers Casino Hotel and also served as the Director of Finance from October 2010 to September 2013. John's earlier roles include Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Internal Audit, Senior Internal Auditor, and Internal Auditor at MotorCity Casino-Hotel from 1999 to 2010.

John Sexsmith earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Windsor, attending from 1986 to 1990. John then pursued further education at Walsh College, where they completed a Master of Science in Finance from 2000 to 2002.
