Jesse Ritka

Jesse Ritka is a seasoned meteorologist with extensive experience in weather forecasting and journalism. Since April 2020, Jesse has been part of Forum Communications Co. as a meteorologist. Prior to this role, Jesse contributed to The E.W. Scripps Company from February 2011 to April 2020, serving as the weekend morning meteorologist and later as the Storm Team 4 meteorologist for Live at 4 and The Now at 6:30 pm. Jesse started at KDLT as the weekend meteorologist and progressed to morning meteorologist while also reporting. A foundational role was at WHO-TV as a meteorology intern and experience included time with Freese-Notis Weather, providing forecasts for various locations. Jesse’s journey began with a mentorship at NOAA while completing a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Iowa State University in 2007, supplemented by education at the University of Melbourne.
