Michael Lyne

Michael Lyne is an experienced sports reporter currently serving at Forum Communications Co. since May 2022, where responsibilities include producing daily sports stories, creating photo galleries, and utilizing social media for live updates. Previously, Michael worked at Minnesota Daily from February 2021 to May 2022, focusing on underrepresented Gophers sports and assisting with fact-checking and editing. Additional experience includes internships at St. Paul Pioneer Press, MinnPost, and MLatino Media, where Michael developed skills in reporting, story pitching, and bilingual writing in Spanish. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in Spanish Studies from the University of Minnesota, complemented by early work experience at Gopher Resource and Target.
