Anthony M. Martin

Chief of Police at Prairie State College

Anthony Martin is the current Chief of Police at Prairie State College. Prior to their current position, Martin served as the Director of Public Safety, Security and Transportation for the U.S. Department of Labor/Management Training Corporation from March 2016 to June 2019. In this role, they were responsible for managing security operations of a closed educational campus for the Department of Labor, Job Corps Training Center. This included developing and implementing emergency preparedness systems and practices, as well as managing vehicles leasing, maintenance and utilization by employees of the Center.

Martin has dedicated their career to public service and protecting those around him. Anthony is a highly experienced law enforcement officer and administrator, and has been successful in their previous roles in keeping people safe. Anthony is committed to their work at Prairie State College and ensuring that students, faculty and staff are able to live and work in a safe environment.

Anthony M. Martin received their Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) from Governors State University in the field of Public Administration. Anthony then went on to receive their Doctorate from Jacksonville Theological Seminary in Christian Counseling. Additionally, they hold certifications from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board as a Police Officer and from the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Authority as a Police Officer in Indiana.

They are on a team with Greg Kain - Executive Director, Information Technology Resources, Thomas Saban - VP, and Timothy Kosiek - Executive Director, Facilities & Operations. Anthony M. Martin reports to Michael Anthony, President.
