Ashok Kumar Tandon

Ashok Kumar Tandon is a seasoned professional in journalism and media with extensive experience in various high-profile roles. Currently serving as a Board Member at Prasar Bharati since November 2015, Ashok previously held the position of Senior Professor at MC National University of Journalism & Communication from September 2004 to December 2013, where the focus was on teaching journalism and media studies. Ashok's earlier experience includes serving as Media Advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister of India from May 1998 to June 2004, managing media relations, and as a Diplomatic Editor for the Press Trust of India from April 1996 to April 1998, with prior tenure as Bureau Chief in London (1988-1995), covering foreign affairs and diplomatic activities. Ashok holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Delhi and a Bachelor's degree from Deshbandhu College. Early education was completed at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Kalkaji, New Delhi.
