Simon Dean

Simon Dean has extensive work experience in the engineering and automotive industry. Simon currently holds the position of Vice President Mobility Business Unit, Core Engineering and Product Strategy at Pratt Miller since January 2019. Prior to this, they served as the President at Performance Executive Consulting from May 2018 to April 2019. From September 2015 to May 2018, Simon worked at WABCO as the Director of Engineering and Project Management Americas, responsible for leading multiple engineering organizations in North and South America. Before that, they held various roles at Meritor from 2001 to 2015, including Sr. Director of Advanced Engineering & Electronics, Director of Advanced Chassis Systems, and Manager of Advanced Chassis Systems. Simon began their career at Chrysler in 1996, where they worked as a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer, Sr. Suspension Engineer, and Suspension Engineer, responsible for the design, development, and integration of suspension systems.

Simon Dean completed their Executive Education at Harvard Business School in 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) in Engineering Management from the University of Michigan from 1997 to 2000. Simon also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, which they obtained from 1991 to 1995. In addition to their formal education, Simon has obtained certifications in Disruptive Innovation and Mergers & Acquisitions from Harvard Business School Executive Education, in June 2023 and May 2022, respectively.
