Jim Hamakiotis

VP, Supply Management at Pratt & Whitney Canada

Jim (Dimitrios) Hamakiotis was appointed Vice President, Supply Management, Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC), in January 2018. He is responsible for the supply chain delivery, quality and cost assurance needed to meet engine production and aftermarket spare parts commitments across P&WC.

Jim began his career at P&WC in 2005 leading strategic sourcing and assumed positions of increasing responsibility within the Supply Management organization before being appointed Director, Global Operations and Strategy, in October 2010. He most recently held the position of Senior Director, Business Development, where he was responsible for partnerships and digital strategy. Prior to joining P&WC, he was Director of Operations Strategy at Kraft Foods Canada.

Jim is currently Chairman of the Board of Pratt & Whitney’s joint ventures in China, Chengdu Aerotech & SPWAEC, and has extensive experience with international supply chain management. He has also been heavily involved in establishing supply chain offices in Poland, China and India.

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA in strategic management, both from McGill University.
