Marcin Samolej

GM & VP, Operations, Pratt & Whitney Rzeszów at Pratt & Whitney Canada

Marcin Samolej was appointed General Manager & Vice President, Operations, at Pratt & Whitney Rzeszów (PWR) in June 2021. He plays a key role as a leader in production, supply, quality and safety management, while also supporting transformation of the corporate culture and development of a work environment that promotes diversity and active employee engagement.

Mr. Samolej began his career with PWR in 2004 as a clerk in the New Implementations department, followed by positions as New Product Introduction Specialist and Project Manager in the Gearbox department. He then became Production Manager, gaining extensive experience in various areas of the manufacturing process, including sheet metal component manufacturing, machining and gearbox assembly. He spent almost two years in Montreal learning Pratt & Whitney Canada’s systems and processes while overseeing operations for auxiliary power unit (APU) programs.

Having held management positions at various levels, Mr. Samolej has acquired extensive operational experience and developed his leadership skills. He was appointed Director, GBU Gear Plant, in April 2012, Director, Operations, APU Program Management, in July 2015, Director, Manufacturing, PWR, in August 2016 and Vice President, Operations, PWR, the following year.

Mr. Samolej is a graduate of Rzeszów University of Technology, where he studied mechanical engineering and aeronautics, specializing in production logistics. He holds an MBA in management from Leon Koźmiński Academy in Warsaw and certificates from the ICAN Institute and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where he further honed his management knowledge and skills.
