Carolyn Jones

Carolyn Jones, PMP has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and quality assurance. Carolyn currently works at Praxis Engineering as a QA/DevOps Lead, where they serve as a link between the customer and the software engineering teams. Carolyn is responsible for backlog prioritization, requirements clarification, and providing demonstrations/presentations to the customer. Carolyn also leads a team of testers and supports monthly release testing.

Prior to their current role, Carolyn worked as a Software Engineer at BAE Systems IT and Praxis Engineering. At BAE Systems IT, they supported web applications for a government customer and developed enhancements and fixed defects using Java, XML, Eclipse, and other technologies. While at Praxis Engineering, Carolyn supported development efforts, including migrating Lotus Notes databases to web applications and supporting migration of a Lotus Notes application to Ruby on Rails.

Earlier in their career, Carolyn worked as a Software Engineer at BAE Systems and a Software Developer at American Management Systems. At BAE Systems, they were responsible for maintaining and enhancing an integrated system of MS Word templates and Lotus Notes databases. At American Management Systems, Carolyn assisted the client with upgrading a vouchering system and ensured that the application was Section 508 compliant.

Carolyn Jones, PMP completed their Master's degree in Public Communication from American University from 1997 to 1999. Previously, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which they finished from 1989 to 1991. In addition to their educational background, they have also earned certifications such as ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Test Automation and ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Testing, both from ICAgile. Furthermore, they hold the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
