Jeffrey Long

Jeffrey Long has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Jeffrey started their career at Robbins-Gioia, Inc. as a Member of the Technical Staff, where they developed custom software and products. Jeffrey was selected by EDS to join a large software development project, contributing to its on-time delivery. At Trident Data Systems, they worked as a Technical Program Manager, implementing processes and procedures that grew the client business by $9M. Jeffrey also developed software frameworks to reduce risk in delivering contracts to the federal government.

At Emergent Information Technologies Inc./SM&A, Jeffrey served as the Director of Telecommunication and Operations Research. Jeffrey successfully turned around a failing business unit by stabilizing the software platform, creating an innovative delivery methodology, and retaining top talent. At Invertix Corporation, they were a Manager of Development and provided strategic leadership for software development of a mobile device instant messaging system. Jeffrey led the requirements development for the delivered messaging platforms.

Jeffrey joined Digimarc as the Director of Program Management and Director of Federal Business. Jeffrey managed and delivered over 17 federal software development programs, collaborating with national intelligence, defense, state, and civilian agencies. Jeffrey developed applications in areas such as information assurance, full-motion video, still imagery, and covert communications. Additionally, they developed the conceptual architecture for an information assurance project, resulting in a $220M award.

As an Independent Contractor, Jeffrey worked as a Senior Software Engineering Consultant. Later, at MorphoTrust™ USA, they were the Director of Solutions Architecture, building a solutions architect team that supported the company's federal business unit. The team focused on translating customer requirements into actionable engineering tasks.

Currently, Jeffrey works at Praxis Engineering as a Member of the Technical Staff, Deputy Program Manager, and Chief of Engineering. Jeffrey is a key leader, routinely interacting with C-level client executives to present strategic visions and propose solutions meeting technically difficult requirements. Jeffrey provides leadership for technical teams delivering products globally, overseeing software engineering, system management, field engineering, client management, and help desk resources.

Jeffrey Long received their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Millersville University of Pennsylvania from 1986 to 1991. In 1999, they attended Marymount University, focusing on Business. Additionally, Jeffrey obtained certifications including the Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in December 2015 and the Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance, although the specific dates of completion are not provided.
