Kris Kahlig

Kris Kahlig has extensive experience in the field of biology and pharmacology, currently serving as the VP of Biology at Praxis Precision Medicines, Inc. since February 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing in vitro and ex vivo biology for numerous clinical and discovery programs, as well as leading a project team for a first-in-class therapeutic targeting a rare epileptic encephalopathy. Prior to this role, Kris held various positions at Praxis, including Executive Director and Senior Director of Discovery Sciences, after a tenure at Gilead Sciences as Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist. Earlier career experience includes conducting research as a Research Instructor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, focusing on CNS and cardiac disorders, and serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Medicine. Kris holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from UT Health San Antonio and a B.S. in Chemistry from Angelo State University.
