Jay Tansey

Jay Tansey is the current Board Member at PREBLE STREET. Jay has also previously worked as the Executive Director & General Manager at Black Point Group from January 2017 to December 2020. There, they oversaw investment, philanthropic, and business initiatives for successful entrepreneur, executive, and civic leader. Jay was also responsible for investments, grant reporting, governance, strategic planning, and fundraising support for multi-million-dollar environmental initiatives as well as major gifts to various New England non-profits.

Prior to working at Black Point Group, Jay Tansey worked at Preble Street. There, they were responsible for leading all aspects of growing veterinary medical device startup. Jay wrote business plan, budget, and product development program which saved 82% on instrument launch and accelerated time to market by 22 weeks. Jay also negotiated >$500K in contracts with new manufacturing partners which reduced consumable COGS by 52% and improved product quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.

Jay Tansey has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Yale School of Management, an AB from Bowdoin College in Government & Legal Studies and Spanish with a Theater minor, and a Business Bridge Program Certificate of Completion from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Jay also studied abroad at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Political Science and Government, and Theater. Jay Tansey's high school diploma is from St. Sebastian's School.
