Doug Flemmens has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Doug began their career at AMP Incorporated as a Tooling Engineer, where they coordinated tooling repair and improvement. Doug later became a Production Supervisor, overseeing maintenance, production, quality, and materials departments. During this time, they also expanded their role to include a computer-related connector assembly plant.

Flemmens then joined Tyco Electronics, where they held various positions. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, they in-sourced and organized production lines for aircraft relay products. Doug also served as a Production Supervisor, managing a 3-shift, 210+ person team for commercial, military, and aerospace industries. Flemmens later became the Director of Engineering, leading a team responsible for the quality, delivery, and cost of imported products. Doug facilitated a significant amount of sales with high quality and on-time delivery rates.

After their time at Tyco Electronics, Flemmens joined Graham Packaging as the Manager of Global Sourcing. In this role, they led international sourcing projects and managed teams for indirect/MRO, capital equipment, and services. Doug also served as the Director of Purchasing, Capital Equipment, where they strengthened the procurement team and improved strategic direction and savings for capital spend.

Most recently, Flemmens held roles at Messiah College and Precision Custom Components, LLC. At Messiah College, they were the Director of the Collaboratory for Strategic Partnerships and Applied Research, leading a non-profit organization that provided experiential learning opportunities for students. At Precision Custom Components, LLC, they served as the Engineering Supervisor before being promoted to the Director of Engineering.

Throughout their career, Flemmens has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic decision-making, and the ability to drive process improvements and cost savings.

Doug Flemmens completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Penn State University between 1985 and 1989. Later, from 1998 to 2000, they pursued a Master's degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Lehigh University.
