Jian Yang is a highly skilled PhD Scientist in Molecular Biology and Genomics with extensive experience in clinical research and biomarker assay development. Currently serving as Scientific Director of Molecular Sciences at Precision For Medicine since September 2020, Jian has held roles from Associate Scientific Director to Senior Scientist, focusing on NGS, ddPCR-, qPCR-, and nanostring-based assays. Previous experience includes a research associate position at Baylor College of Medicine, where Jian investigated dietary microRNAs' effects on the gut microbiome and conducted pioneering research on the uptake of plant dietary small RNAs in mammals during a postdoctoral fellowship. Jian's academic journey began with a Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Peking University.
