Guy Shechter

Head of Innovation and Data Science at Predictive Fitness

Guy Shechter has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Guy started their career as a Research Fellow at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute from 2000 to 2003. Guy then worked as a Research Engineer at INRIA - Sophia Antipolis, France from 2001 to 2002.

In 2004, Guy joined Philips and held multiple positions over the years. Guy served as a Senior Member Research Staff, where they led image-guided therapy research projects and expanded the team's headcount. Guy then became a Senior Manager, New Business Creation, defining clinical and technology strategies for a new business development activity. Additionally, they managed the contract research program and led joint product development projects.

Moving up within Philips, Guy served as a Director of Medical Affairs, deploying a company-wide clinical data management solution and implementing portfolio management dashboards for clinical research projects. Later, they became a Senior Director of Medical Affairs, leading a global 35 FTE department and managing a team of 12 FTE across different regions.

In 2012, Guy took on a new role at Philips as a Senior Director, Innovation Strategy & Portfolio Management. Guy supported the Innovation Board and Strategy & Innovation Leadership to ensure operational excellence and managed intrinsic and external risks. Guy also developed analyses and dashboards to increase transparency of R&D spend.

In 2015, Guy joined MedTech Analytics, LLC as the General Manager and Chief Data Science Officer. In this role, they focused on delivering value to customers through innovative approaches for creating models and deriving insights from datasets. Guy also architectured scalable and cost-effective full-stack solutions using Amazon Web Services.

Most recently, in 2020, Guy became the Head of Innovation and Data Science at Predictive Fitness, where they lead innovation initiatives and data science efforts.

Guy Shechter has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. Guy also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, with a Health Sector Management certificate. Shechter pursued their post-doctoral fellowship in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from The Johns Hopkins University in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science.

Shechter has also obtained two additional certifications. Guy is an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, which they obtained in November 2016. Additionally, they are a Certified Analytics Professional (CAP®) certified by INFORMS, which they obtained in October 2014.
