Susie Lu has held various executive roles in the healthcare industry since 1996. Susie began their career at Columbia HCA Hospital and Healthcare as an Executive Director. In 1998, they moved to UCSF Stanford Health System as a Vice President. Two years later, they joined Stanford Hospital and Clinics as a Vice President. In 2007, Susie Lu became the President of the Board at Healthscape, and the same year they were appointed as the Executive Director/Vice President at UCLA Health System. In 2014, they were appointed as the Executive/Chief Consultant to the President at the 2nd Affiliated Hospital of Zhe Jiang University School of Medicine. In 2017, Susie Lu became the CEO and President at MUSE Microscopy. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed as the Chief Operating Officer and President, Morningstar Laboratories at Smart Health Diagnostics Company.

Susie Lu completed a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the University of Kansas between 1968 and 1972. Susie then went on to earn a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of San Francisco in 1985.
