Kara Wires

Kara Wires is a seasoned forestry professional with over two decades of experience in the field. Currently serving as a Senior Forestry Specialist and Technical Manager for the US and Canada at Preferred by Nature since October 2018, Kara has previously held the role of Technical Manager for North America at Rainforest Alliance from November 2000 to October 2018. Additional roles held at Rainforest Alliance include Associate Manager of Forestry and Forest Management Associate. Kara's academic background includes a Master of Science in Forest Management/Forest Resources Management from the University of Vermont and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management and Policy from the University of Michigan.
