Daisuke Tanaka has a diverse work experience in the technology and finance sectors. Daisuke began their career at Simplex, Inc. in 2008 as an Engineer, where they played a role in creating FIX gateway. Later, they became a Professional (Financial Engineer) at the same company, responsible for creating a quants library and implementing distributed calculation for risk calculating methods. Daisuke worked at Simplex, Inc. until 2015. In 2015, Daisuke joined Preferred Networks, Inc. as a Software Engineer, specializing in Deep Learning framework tools. Daisuke eventually rose to the position of VP of Machine Learning Infrastructure and Information Systems, where they managed the development of various products and tools, with a specific focus on an original AI chip to accelerate the business. Additionally, Daisuke is set to join Preferred Elements in 2023 as an Engineering Manager.
Daisuke Tanaka received an Executive MBA from NUCB Business School from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Waseda University from 2004 to 2008, specializing in Fluid Mechanics.

Preferred Networks (PFN) was established in March 2014 with the goal to develop practical, real-world applications of deep learning, robotics and other advanced technologies. PFN’s business domains include transportation, manufacturing, life sciences, robots, plant optimization, materials discovery, education and entertainment. In 2015, PFN developed Chainer™, the open-source deep learning framework. PFN’s MN-3 supercomputer, which is equipped with the MN-Core™ deep learning processor, topped the Green500 list three times in 2020 and 2021.
