Shuhei Watanabe

Shuhei Watanabe is a Research Engineer at Preferred Networks, Inc. since October 2023. Previously, Shuhei served as an MSc Student at The University of Freiburg from October 2020 to October 2023 and as a Research Assistant at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) from September 2018 to September 2020, focusing on the acceleration of hyperparameter optimization through parallel computation and transfer learning, with several accepted papers as a first author in prestigious conferences. Prior internship experience includes a role as an Internship Trainee at エムスリーマーケティング株式会社 from April 2018 to August 2018, providing consulting for the genome business in Japan. Shuhei holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of Freiburg and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from The University of Tokyo.
