Toru Taniguchi has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2003, they worked as a Part-time Lecturer at Waseda University. Toru continued their role as a Part-time Lecturer until 2009 while also serving as a Research Associate at Waseda University from 2004 to 2008. In 2009, they briefly worked as a Part-time Lecturer at Kanagawa University.

Toru Taniguchi received a Bachelor of Information and Computer Science degree from Waseda University in 2001. Toru then pursued a Master of Information and Computer Science degree from the same university, specializing in spoken language processing and pattern recognition from 2001 to 2003. Taniguchi furthered their education by earning a Ph.D in Computer Science from Waseda University between 2003 and 2006.
