Katie Clasen

Katie Clasen has a background in various roles related to venture capital, product management, process engineering, and technical sales. Katie is currently working as a Principal at Prelude Ventures, a venture capital firm focusing on investing in the low carbon economy. Katie also serves as a Board Observer at Mori. Prior to their current roles, they worked as an MBA Associate at Buoyant Ventures. Katie's previous experience includes working at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. in product management and as a Senior Process Integration Engineer. Katie also held positions at Shell, where they served as a Crude Flexibility Lead, Associate Process Engineer, and Graduate Process Engineer. Earlier in their career, Katie worked as a Process Safety Engineer at Shell, a Process Improvement Engineer at Eastman Chemical Company, and a Technical Sales Engineer at Ashland Inc.

Katie Clasen is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, expected to graduate in 2023. Prior to this, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering with Honors at the University of Washington.
