V.s.ramachandra Murty

V.S.Ramachandra Murty has over extensive work experience in the biotech industry. V.S.RAMACHANDRA currently works as the Program Head of Novel Biologics at Premas Biotech since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the General Manager of Operations at Gland Pharma Limited, Biotech division in Hyderabad from 2021 to 2022. In this role, they successfully led the process transfer for the cell culture-based SputnikV COVID vaccine and managed a cross-functional team for facility modifications and equipment qualifications.

From 2020 to 2021, Murty was the Deputy General Manager & Block Head at Panacea Biotec, where they oversaw a technical team and achieved zero-defect commercial production for a WHO-prequalified vaccine. V.S.RAMACHANDRA also played a key role in supporting clinical trials for cell culture vaccines.

Before that, from 2013 to 2020, Murty was an Assistant General Manager at Bharat Biotech International Limited, where they managed operations and implemented manufacturing schedules. V.S.RAMACHANDRA also held multiple functional roles in bio-therapeutics fermentation/purification processes.

Prior to joining Bharat Biotech, they worked at SciGen BioPharma Pvt. Ltd. as the Head of Production (USP) from 2010 to 2013. There, they oversaw the establishment of a large-scale recombinant insulin project and optimized processes for production.

Earlier in their career, Murty served as a Manager of Production for recombinant proteins at Shasun Chemicals and Drugs Ltd, working on process development and scale-up from 2008 to 2010. V.S.RAMACHANDRA also worked as a Manager of Production at Dalas Biotech Limited, where they focused on production planning for enzyme manufacturing from 2007 to 2008.

V.S. Ramachandra Murty completed their secondary education at NAD High School in Visakhapatnam, although the specific years are not provided. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in biotechnology at Andhra University from 1996 to 1998.
