Claire Long has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Claire started their career as a Graduate Trainee at Lloyds TSB in 1992 and worked there until 1994. Claire then moved to F&C Asset Management as an Investment Manager from 1994 to 1999. Following that, they joined Rothschild Asset Management London as an Assistant Director from 1999 to 2003. Claire took a career break from 2003 to 2006. After their break, they worked as an Events Organiser for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners - UK Chapter from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, Claire joined Premier Miton Investors as a Senior Investment Manager, a role they held until 2019. With the merger of Premier Asset Management and Miton Group in late 2019, Claire moved to a new role as the Head of Investment Trusts, overseeing the group's four investment trusts. This role involves board liaison, day-to-day management and coordination, expansion opportunities search, oversight of corporate activity, and fund promotion and marketing.
Claire Long pursued their education at Berkhamsted School from 1982 to 1989. During this time, they completed 3 A levels and 1 S level, although the field of study is unspecified. Later, they attended Somerville College, Oxford University from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern History.
