Miguel López

Miguel López, CPCU has a strong background in the insurance industry, with extensive experience in leadership positions. Miguel is currently serving as the President of Premier Insurance & Warranties. Prior to this role, they held the position of President at Real Legacy Assurance Company, Inc. from August 2016 to November 2018. Before that, they were the Co-Founder, President & CEO of Adaptiv Underwriters, LLC from November 2013 to August 2016. Miguel has a long history with Assurant Solutions, where they held various executive roles including President, Latin America from October 2008 to November 2012, President, Puerto Rico from October 2003 to October 2008, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing from October 1998 to October 2003, and Vice President, Claims Operations from January 1995 to October 1998. Throughout their career, Miguel has consistently delivered impressive results, including doubling top and bottom lines in less than four years and growing credit insurance market share from 50% to 80%. Miguel is a skilled strategist, experienced in managing complex deals and successfully navigating international markets. Additionally, they have made significant contributions in fraud prevention, saving over $12 million in fraudulent claims during their tenure at Assurant Solutions.

Miguel López, CPCU has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business and Insurance from St. John's University (formerly The College of Insurance), which they earned in 1994. Miguel also holds a Diploma in Risk and Insurance from the same institution. In 1993, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. Additionally, Miguel holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation from CPCU.
