Assistant Coach at Premier Rugby Sevens

Lauren Barber has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2015 as a Personal Trainer Intern at Katzenmoyer Performance, where they provided instruction and individualized programming to clients. Lauren then worked as an Overnight Pet Hotel Caretaker at PetSmart before transitioning to roles at Atavus Rugby & Football in 2016. At Atavus, Lauren served as a Youth Program Manager and Coach, focusing on developing self-confidence and athletic abilities in young athletes. Lauren also held the position of Youth Development Coordinator and interned as a Youth Development Intern.

In 2018, Lauren joined Killer Visual Strategies as a Project Manager, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure design visions were achieved. Lauren then transitioned to being a Rugby Player for the Washington Athletic Club, followed by a role as Vice President at Rugby Washington in 2020, where they managed competition schedules and enforced policies.

In the same year, Lauren became the Recruitment Director for the Seattle Rugby Club, using data-driven tactics to increase participation and engagement in the community. Lauren also worked at Seattle Seawolves Rugby as the Director of Youth and Community, designing rugby curriculum and facilitating on-field programming for young athletes.

Continuing their involvement in rugby, Lauren joined Premier Rugby Sevens in 2022 as an Assistant Coach, and in the same year, they returned to Seattle Seawolves Rugby as a Performance Analyst, coding and analyzing practices and games to provide strategic insights.

Throughout their career, Lauren has showcased their ability to build relationships, manage projects, and contribute to the development and growth of sports organizations.

Lauren Barber's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and a Minor in Psychology from Penn State University. Lauren attended the university from 2010 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Lauren has obtained several certifications, including Level 2 World Rugby Coach from World Rugby in August 2022, SafeSport from USA Rugby in January 2022, Rugby Level 200 Coaching from USA Rugby in August 2017, HeadsUp Solutions, inc for Concussion in January 2016, Rugby Level 100 Coaching from USA Rugby in January 2016, Hubspot Inbound Sales from HubSpot Academy in December 2017, Hubspot Sales Software from HubSpot Academy in October 2017, and First Aid/CPR from the American Red Cross in May 2016.
