Charles Yarborough III has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of occupational and environmental medicine, health informatics, and health management. Charles is currently serving as the Medical Director at Premise Health. Prior to this, they were the President and Owner of CYHealthAssociates, LLC, where they provided expertise in occupational and environmental medicine, epidemiology, exposure principles, toxicology, and health informatics. Charles has also worked as a Director at Lockheed Martin, where they transformed clinics into Wellness Centers and implemented various health initiatives. Before that, they served as the Chief Physician at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and as a Senior Managing Scientist at Exponent. Additionally, they have held positions at BASF, Caterpillar Inc., ExxonMobil, and Exxon Chemical, where they contributed to health management, occupational medicine, and medical operations.

Charles Yarborough III has an extensive education history in the field of medicine. Charles first attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1969 to 1973, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. Charles then continued their education at the same university and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from 1973 to 1976. Afterward, they pursued further specialization in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) from 1976 to 1979.

Later on, Charles pursued a Master's Degree in Public Health from the Medical College of Wisconsin, completing the program from 1989 to 1992. Alongside their education, they obtained various certifications and fellowships in their field. Notable among these are their certifications as a Medical Review Officer from the Medical Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC) in 2020 and as an Independent Medical Examiner from the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners in 2015. Further, they obtained fellowships from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine in 1996 and the American College of Preventive Medicine in 1993. Charles is also certified in Occupational Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. In addition, they became board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1979 and obtained a Diplomate certification from the National Board of Medical Examiners in 1977.
