James Lavender is a Development Officer at Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services, with previous experience as a Worship Director at Longhorns for Christ, Pastor Intern/Church Planter at Point of Grace Church, and various roles in worship leadership at different church organizations. James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Church Music from Concordia University Texas and is currently pursuing further education at Concordia Seminary St Louis.

Since 1903, PCHAS has provided Christ-centered care and support to children and families in need. We serve children and families throughout Texas, Missouri and Louisiana through twelve core programs: Foster Care & Adoption (TX), Foster Care & Medical Case Management (MO), Itasca Foster Care Village & Education Program (TX), Elevate Mentoring (TX, MO), Transitional Living - Adults (TX, MO), Transitional Living Group Homes & Scattered Site Apartments (MO), Youth Outreach (MO), Child and Family (TX, MO, LA), Counseling Centers at PCHAS (TX, MO), Family Solutions for Kids (MO), Single Parent Family (TX, MO) and Growing Together (TX).
