Brent Melton

Brent Melton, MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Brent began their career as a Broadcast Journalist in the United States Army from 1993 to 1997. Brent then worked as an Information Systems Specialist for the San Diego Police Department in 2000. From 2001 to 2002, they served as a Network Technician for S&H Communications. Moving forward, they worked as a Systems & Automation Manager at National University from 2002 to 2005. In the Automotive Retail Industry, Brent served as a Sales Manager, Finance Director, and Retail Consultant from 2005 to 2009. In the Skilled Nursing Facility Industry, they worked as an IT Project Manager from 2009 to 2011. Brent then transitioned to Allscripts, where they held the positions of Project Manager from 2011 to 2013, and later became a Program Manager specializing in hospital/medical construction, IT architecture & infrastructure, acute & ambulatory application implementation, and healthcare financial systems from 2013 to 2014. Currently, Brent is associated with PIH Health, where they have been serving as the Director of Technology Resources from 2014 to 2018 and as the Vice President of Support Services since July 2018.

Brent Melton, MBA, has a BA in Economics from the University of San Diego (1999-2001) and an MBA with a focus on Information Systems from San Diego State University (2002-2004). Brent also holds an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Palomar College (1997-1999). In addition to their degrees, Brent has obtained several certifications including CSM (Certified Scrum Master) from Scrum Alliance (2011), Network+ from CompTIA (2010), PMP (Project Management Professional) from Project Management Professional (2010), A+ (Certified Computer Technician) from CompTIA (2002), and a Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft.
