Kirstie Newman MA, ATR-BC, LPAT, LMHC is a mental health therapist currently providing counseling and art therapy for adults at Presbyterian Medical Services since December 2022. With a diverse background, Kirstie has held various roles including Community Arts Coordinator at Wesley Enhanced Living, where therapeutic arts programming was developed for seniors, and therapist at The Life Link, managing a caseload while facilitating mindfulness-based art therapy groups. Additional experience includes working as an art therapist in multiple settings, retail sales specialist at REI, and performing as a volunteer cabaret artist. Kirstie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Arts in Art Therapy from The George Washington University, underscoring a commitment to integrating creativity into mental health practices.

Presbyterian Medical Services (PMS) is the successor to the United Presbyterian Church's Medical Mission work in the Southwest, which began in 1901. In 1969, a New Mexico based 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation was formed to ensure continuation of the mission to provide health care services to the underserved communities throughout the Southwest.
