Mary E. Petersen

Mary E. Petersen, SPHR has over 20 years of experience in human resources and senior-level management roles. Mary E. is currently the Human Resources Director at Westminster Communities of Florida, where they oversee HR operations and supports senior-living communities. Previously, Mary served as the Senior Director of Human Resources at TooJay's Deli, Bakery and Restaurant, where they were responsible for talent acquisition, employee development, and compliance. Mary E. also held various HR positions at Celebrity Cruises, including Human Resources Manager and Training & Development Manager, where they focused on organizational development and employee relations. Additionally, Mary worked as an Independent Project Consultant, offering marketing and management consultation to individuals and organizations. Mary E. Petersen, SPHR has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from Northern Arizona University. Mary E. also completed a Disney Internship at the Disneyland Hotel. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in January 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Certified PI Practitioner certification from Predictive Index by RHSweeney Austin in May 2019. In 2017, they acquired several certifications, including Six Sigma Foundations, Building Creative Organizations, Executive Decision Making, and Managing Employee Performance Problems, all from LinkedIn. Mary E. also obtained the Senior Profession in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in April 2017.
