Julie DeGraaf Velazquez has over 20 years of experience in community redevelopment and development. Julie has held leadership roles at organizations such as Preservation of Affordable Housing and McCormack Baron Salazar, where they served as Vice President and Managing Director, respectively. Prior to this, they were the Director of Homeownership Services at The Resurrection Project and a Research Associate at IFF.
Julie DeGraaf Velazquez holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology from Calvin College, obtained in 1995. Julie pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Urban Planning and Policy at the University of Illinois Chicago from 1996 to 1998. In 2004, they completed a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Urban Redevelopment Excellence.
