Lauren Cohen is an accomplished professional in government relations and public history, currently serving as the Associate Director of Government Relations at the National Trust for Historic Preservation since January 2022. Prior experience includes various roles at Americans for the Arts, where responsibilities ranged from Government Affairs and Grassroots Manager to Federal Affairs and Grassroots Senior Coordinator. Lauren also has legislative experience as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives and has held research and fellowship positions at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Lauren holds a Master of Arts in Public History from James Madison University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
