Jenny McIlvaine

Assistant Director, Employee Support Services at Presidio Trust

Jenny McIlvaine has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jenny began their career as an Administrative Assistant at the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives in 1996. In 1997, they joined the Creative Services Department at Pacific Bell, where they served as a Cartographic Coordinator until 2000. After that, they worked at the Presidio Trust as a Natural Resources Intern and later as a Natural Resources Assistant from 2000 to 2003.

In 2004, Jenny became the Stewardship Facilitator & Education Coordinator at the Napa County Resource Conservation District, a role they held until 2007. Jenny returned to the Presidio Trust in 2007 as a Volunteer Coordinator and gradually took on more responsibility, becoming a Volunteer Program Manager in 2012 and then a Volunteer & Internship Program Manager in 2015. From 2017 to 2019, they served as the Director of Internships & Volunteer Engagement. Recently, they took on leadership roles as the Interim Director and Assistant Director of Employee Support Services at the Presidio Trust starting from 2019.

Jenny McIlvaine has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Jenny also holds a Master's degree in Geography, Resource Management, and Environmental Planning from San Francisco State University. Prior to their higher education, Jenny attended Davis Senior High School. In terms of certifications, they obtained their SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM in July 2021. Additionally, Jenny earned a Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA) from the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration in 2015.
