Yvonne Serra

Associate Director Of Sales & Marketing at Presidio Trust

Yvonne Serra has a diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. Yvonne started their career at the Downtown Santa Cruz Association as an Event Planner from December 2006 to June 2007. Yvonne then worked as a Special Events Coordinator at the Asian Art Museum, managing onsite corporate and retail private events from October 2007 to April 2012.

Yvonne joined Marriott International in 2008 and held several roles within the company. Yvonne started as an Area Account Executive, responsible for booking group and business transient bookings. From June 2009 to April 2011, they served as a Senior Regional Sales Manager, managing business leads for Marriott Hotels in Northern California, Seattle, and the Denver Area. Yvonne then worked as a Regional Sales Specialist, providing temporary support for all Sales Office teams, from March 2011 to April 2012. Yvonne also served as a Senior Sales Manager from May 2012 to July 2014, managing incoming business leads for over 40 Marriott Hotels.

In 2014, Yvonne joined the California Academy of Sciences as a Special Events Coordinator, managing special onsite events and coordinating with various departments. Yvonne then worked at the Oakland Marriott City Center as a Senior Sales Executive from February 2016 to August 2019. In this role, they represented and sold the hotel and Convention Center, contract and closed opportunities, and handled large conventions.

Currently, Yvonne works at the Presidio Trust as an Associate Director of Sales & Marketing. Yvonne develops and executes marketing strategies for the Hospitality Division, manages business development projects, provides leadership to sales associates, and evaluates the division's participation in different sales channels.

Yvonne Serra attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management Economics. In addition to their studies in the United States, they also took Business & Hospitality classes at The University of Hong Kong from 2005 to 2006, focusing on Marketing Business, Tourism, and Food History.
